Here's our latest roundup of news and information for our members/supporters. This time we feature 3 LOCAL funding pots, some training you can do in the comfort of your own home or office (a webinar on being Mental health friendly), as well as other useful training courses, and make sure you follow the LEEDS LENT PRAYER DIARY from 10th February.

Leeds Comic Relief Local Communities
 
Funding of between £1,00 and £5,000 for projects run by local people directly affected by the issues they are dealing with.  You can apply for funding to: increase local services; build skills of local people; increase community cohesion; respond to local economic needs; increase access to sport and exercise for people who face social exclusion and isolation.

Victoria Gate Community Grants Fund
 
This fund can award grants between £1,500 and £2,500 to groups working in disadvantaged wards on arts and culture, supporting people into employment, enterprise or developing skills; deadline is 7th March 2016.

Jimbo's Fund
 
Jimbo\'s Fund (formerly known as the Hesco Bastion Fund) provides grants to groups working in specific areas of Leeds postcodes LS9, LS14, 15 and citywide projects in the field of health or children/young people. Support is also given to groups supporting armed forces related charities. Grants are up to £20,000. Closing Date 5pm 18th February 2016.
