Project Development News July 2015

Welcome to the July 2015 Project Development Email. I suspect, (and hope), many of you will be off on holidays and taking some well earned rest at the moment, but for those holding the fort over the summer break here’s some inspiration and information that may be of help to you.

Many thanks to all those who replied to our survey about the Project Development email. Over 90% of you said that these emails are useful or very useful, and there were some helpful suggestions of things we could include in the future. For most people it is the funding information that is of most use, followed closely by the learning  and engagement opportunities, and as there was a mix of responses to how often you would like to received the emails, we’re proposing to send a monthly summary of funding, learning and engagement news, and every other month try to include other items such as a reflective blog, reflective video and newsletters from other organisations. Thanks to all who offered to write blogs for future additions (we’ll be in touch soon), and congratulations to Clare Jackson whose name was drawn out of the hat as the winner of the home-baked cake (she chose a Lemon Drizzle cake)!

This month we have a theological reflection from Andrew Grinnell on the experience of the Leeds Poverty Truth Challenge; a few funding opportunities with upcoming deadlines; details of some free Marketing training taking place next week; and details of a Leeds Communities Photo competition that is open over the summer.

As ever, if you have any comments, and items for future emails, or are looking for any development support/ advice, please do get in touch with us at jon@lcct.org.uk or on the office number 0113 3508622.

With peace and blessings

The LCCT Learning and Development team
