Just Love Leeds exists to inspire and release every Christian student to pursue the Biblical call to social justice. We’re launching for the first time in February. From then we will be linking students with existing projects working with broken and marginalised people in our city, raising money and awareness for charities, as well as looking at what the Bible says about justice and what it looks like in our day to day lives.
We want to raise up a generation of leaders who will pursue Jesus and justice for the rest of their lives. We want to see thousands of students graduate each year who have been equipped to lead and envisioned to pursue social justice wherever they go, consuming ethically, giving generously, and transforming the industries in which they work, who will ‘act justly, love mercy and to walk humbly with our God’ (Micah 6:8).
We would appreciate prayer for the people that we work with, that they would see a glimpse of Jesus through the way that we love them, whatever that may be, and that God would work in their lives. As a new group, we’d love prayer for vision too—that we’d step into all that God’s called us to and that he’d use us to bring his Kingdom to this city.
