Meeting Point provides English classes, a hot meal, clothing, food bags and activities for 100+ refugees and asylum seekers each week.
In this way, volunteers work together to meet practical, emotional and spiritual needs, remembering the words of Jesus, “I was a stranger and you welcomed me”. Matthew 25:35 (NRSV)
As a group, we journey together in the uncertainty and suffering that surrounds people waiting to hear if their asylum status will be recognised and we rejoice in the lease of new life granted to those who receive permission.
In prayer, please
• Give thanks for (number of) permissions to stay that have been granted in the last year
• Pray for those who are still waiting to hear, that they might have a positive response and that they will not lose hope.
