Leeds Citizens is an alliance of local church congregations and other civil society groups working together for the common good. Through Community Organising, we build relationships across all faiths and campaign for social justice.
Our Listening Campaigns, leadership training and public action provide church congregations with effective ways to meet the challenges of seeking justice, growing disciples and building community relationships.
We pray that:
· More communities are inspired to become members of Leeds Citizens, in response to the Jesus’ call for us to show mercy (Matthew 25), act for justice (Luke 4) and share our faith (Matthew 28).
· Leeds Citizens’ training and action increases the power and participation of ordinary people in the public life of Leeds.
· Local decision makers respond positively to Leeds Citizens campaigns on local and citywide issues, including the Living Wage, mental health and youth opportunities.
