Torch Trust is a Christian organisation that serves those with sight loss and produces Christian literature in Braille, large print and audio. There are Torch Trust fellowship groups in 100 locations around the country, including Leeds.
Here in Leeds the group of about 20 mostly partially-sighted people meets on the third Saturday of each month from 2.30– 4.30pm at City Evangelical Church, Beeston. New faces (and guide dogs!) are always welcome.
Our Northern Torch Holiday this year will be at Cober Hill near Scarborough, April 23rd to 26th 2019. Please encourage friends with sight loss to come!
Praise God for one young man who decided to follow Jesus and was baptised last May.
Pray for church congregations in Leeds to become ‘sight-loss friendly’ churches (see www.torchtrust.org for info on this) and to use Torch materials to help those in their congregations with sight loss. We also need more volunteers to help with transport.
