Hope for the Nations (HFTN) celebrates the diversity of God’s people in the city, bearing witness to the love of God for all nations, especially the beautiful people in our wonderful city of Leeds. It is a visible sign of Christian unity which provides an opportunity for God’s people, the Beloved Community, to affirm their Oneness in Christ and their love for ALL the different people who make Leeds a multicultural city.
Our annual event in Briggate last summer featured live worship from various denominations and a taste of diversity from various stalls which offered Christians literature in various languages. We would like to express our gratitude to God for both His faithfulness and mercy in providing a strong organising committee, for the volunteers and supporters who give time and resources, and for the goodwill and the generosity of the local authority.
Please pray for HFTN as we seek both direction and God’s guidance in the years ahead. Please also pray for the various church congregations in the city; that they might learn to walk in love, serve the city and also support those facing various difficulties especially those members whose lives will be impacted by Brexit.
