In2Out works to reduce reoffending by bringing positive change into the lives of young people leaving custody (from Young Offenders Institutes). Our vision is that each young person should have the opportunity to set a different course, and that they be supported with positive role-models and influences in this endeavour. In 2018, we mentored over 90 young people leaving custody.
Released just before Christmas, Tyrone came up with his hopes and dreams for his future: “I just want to get my head down, get a job and be a good role model for my niece and nephew”. With In2Out’s support he has visited a local church congregation, is searching for employment and is keeping his word to see his family every week.
Please pray that the young people we support would find the courage to break free from their pasts and set out on a different path and that we would help them to understand their worth, even when the world tells them they are worthless.
