‘U Muntu ngu Muntu nga Bantu’ (a person is a person through other people) is a philosophy, where the idea of community is one of the building blocks of society. This is what attracted me to Leeds Christian Community Trust- A hub for 15 projects, all with a passion for making a difference in our communities. Supporting and learning from each other, sharing good practice, this community of projects support vulnerable men, women and children, the homeless, the displaced and those seeking to achieve and enjoy, just to name but a few.
I am a Marketing professional who has worked in Sales and Marketing, Digital Marketing for an online retailer and as a Business Development Officer. I have also worked as a Resettlement officer working with asylum seekers.
As Marketing and communications officer at LCCT, I have the joy of, not only highlighting the work we do but also the positive impact it has on our communities. I review and implement the Communications policies and Strategic Plan to ensure LCCT reaches its audiences and achieves its aims. I also manage and develop suitable communication methods for our internal and external communications, including website and social media development.
I enjoy what I do because with so many projects doing good work the content I manage can only be inspiring.
On my downtime, I enjoy reading, my all-time favourite being Milton’s ‘Samson Agonistes.’
