Catherine, our new Project Manager joins LCCT with a wealth of experience. We caught up with her and she told us a bit about herself and her plans for the organisation:
A Little Bit Of Background
I joined LCCT as Project Manager in September, taking over from Rhoda-so I have very big shoes to fill. I have been involved with LCCT since its beginning, firstly through Meeting Point, and then Manuel Bravo Project. Both of these began as Projects of LCCT and then went on to become independent charities. I was a Trustee of LCCT for a year in 2015 and I remain a Trustee of Manuel Bravo Project. I have undertaken a fair amount of theological education which, I hope, has informed and shaped the way I work. I am a big fan of René Girard’s Mimetic Theory and given the chance, will happily bore a roomful of people for hours on that subject.
My priority for the immediate future is to build on the work begun by Rhoda and the team in taking LCCT from being largely donor dependent to becoming financially independent and self-sustaining, whilst still maintaining the LCCT ethos and vision.
