As Charity Administrator – The ‘gold thread’ through all the roles, projects and work of LCCT. “The hands that wear gloves to the various jobs that must be done within LCCT” My role is essential to the life and core functions and governance of LCCT, working with and supporting the member projects of LCCT, The Trustees and Hub members, as well as the other network members. The passion and vision of LCCT is what drew me to the work that has been done over the years and daily through each project. The staff and volunteers in projects do immense work promoting Christian values in the communities within Leeds by touching the lives of individuals, this I have witnessed through my visits. I have held various roles over the years in housing (families, young people, students, doctors’ accommodation), local projects, CAB advisor, local charities. Also, various volunteer roles and know the wonderful rewards of a ‘smile’ or a ‘thank you’ from clients over the years of appreciation.
I continually love learning about people and from others along with the wonders this brings to the areas where projects are based. Since joining LCCT I have seen Projects fly the nest, rise from the ashes like a Phoenix (around funding) and cement the love of God through the staff, volunteers and service users.
