Pray for Leeds Homeless Charter

In one of our recent Charter Action Groups, a man shared about how he wanted to give up his accommodation and go back to the streets, because of the isolation he was experiencing. This has been a recurring theme, with people struggling to connect into the communities they are moved to, made even worse during Covid restrictions. In response, we are starting a befriending project, linking volunteers from groups and churches with people in new accommodation.

There is big difference between just having a roof over your head, and experiencing real community, belonging, meaning and purpose. Our hope and prayer is that people will experience all this, and ultimately find their home in God’s love.

John 15:9-10 (MSG)

‘I’ve loved you the way my Father has loved me. Make yourselves at home in my love… If you keep my commands, you’ll remain intimately at home in my love…’

Please pray for people who are currently experiencing isolation, and thank God for the volunteers willing to give their time to support them.
